Current Projects:
Internationally
In 2007 Softchoice raised over $220,000 which was used to set up 7 computer labs, in partnership with Room to Read, in Cambodia, Laos and Nepal. These computer labs will each serve over 1000 students and adults each year and provide much needed education and skills to help these communities get out of poverty.
Softchoice will also be sending a group of 15 employees to Uganda, Africa where they will be volunteering for two weeks at orphanages, schools and computer training centers across the country.
Locally
Through donations of end of life Softchoice hardware, we were able to set up computer labs for local community groups in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. We are looking to expand this program in 2008 and set up local technology centers in all our branch cities by partnering with various community groups in the neighborhoods that we operate.
